Friable Asbestos Removal & Remediation
Tubba-Gah Galamaay Contracting undertakes friable and non-friable asbestos removal and remediation works. Friable asbestos — material that can be crumbled or reduced to powder by hand pressure — is the highest-risk class of asbestos work, and we plan and deliver it with rigorous controls at every step.
Our asbestos services
- Friable asbestos removal, including enclosure construction, negative-pressure controls and decontamination units
- Non-friable (bonded) asbestos removal from residential, commercial and industrial structures
- Remediation of asbestos-contaminated land, soils and structures
- Asbestos removal control plans (ARCPs), safe work method statements and notification management
- Coordination of independent licensed asbestos assessors, air monitoring and clearance inspections
- Lawful transport and disposal of asbestos waste to EPA-licensed facilities, with full waste tracking
How we work
All asbestos work is planned and carried out in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW), the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017 (NSW), the How to Safely Remove Asbestos Code of Practice and SafeWork NSW requirements. Our management system covers site-specific risk assessments, worker health monitoring, respiratory protection programs and documented decontamination procedures.
Demolition
We deliver safe, controlled demolition — from internal strip-outs to full structure removal — leaving sites clean, compliant and ready for their next use. Demolition and asbestos capability under one roof means one contractor, one plan and no gaps in responsibility on structures that contain hazardous materials.
Our demolition services
- Structural demolition of residential, commercial and industrial buildings
- Partial demolition and internal strip-outs
- Pre-demolition hazardous materials surveys and integrated asbestos removal
- Site clearing, slab removal and make-safe works
- Salvage, recycling and responsible waste management with full documentation
Demolition work is planned and executed in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017 (NSW), AS 2601 The demolition of structures and SafeWork NSW requirements, with engineered work sequences, exclusion zones and service isolations documented before work begins.
